We like to Excercise!

This week we have been focusing on the different ways we can keep our body healthy through Exerciser!  We did a silly greeting where each child thought of one thing they like to do and did a movement to go along with it.  Then the rest of the class copied the movement.  We also had a guest teacher.  Becky Roberg came in to teach the class different moves that help us speed up our heart rate and moves that calm down our heart rate.  We have a cool place called the imagination playground next door.  We moved our bodies, used team work and  our imaginations to create and build.  During math we  used our muscles and exercise to 100.  Google Jack Hartman; Zero the Hero Exercise and Count, it's a fun song!  Finally, children created a list of the different exercises they like to do, turned it into predictable sentences using popcorn words (words that pop up everywhere and can not be sounded out, a.k.a. sight words), and began a final piece with a detailed illustration that they will finish next week.  Enjoy the photos...
