Today we met our two Hands on Nature teacher, Kay. She taught us a song about the earth, performed a puppet show with Polly (our team para) and showed us how to do a science investigation with our shadows.
We had lots of fun learning about how the sun warms the earth. Children partnered up and traced each others shadows. Next, they guessed if their shadows would get long or shorter as the earth spun in space. Finally, they went back and checked. They discovered that their shadows became shorter!! Then, we all wondered WHY???
