*Tomorrow Night is our Kindergarten Curriculum Night in the Cafeteria.
We are having an amazing Start to September! During the past two weeks children have been getting to know each other and have been practicing their daily routines.
Five students have shared their time lines and picture collection. When it is a child's day to share they become the Totally Terrific Child for the day. For each student, the class has created a personalized book for the Totally Terrific Child to take home and re-read to their family. In addition, they got to take home the morning message and be the line leader. We are looking forward to hearing everyone's share!
Today we talked about how our faces are the same and different. Then we began our Mini-Me project. Children took a really close look at their face with a mirror and used a photo of themselves to replicate the color of their eyes, their hair, and their skin. They also took a close look at the shape of their eyes, nose, and lips.
.. a few math creations.
...children take turns using the owls to help students "ECHO" the letter name, letter anchor picture, and letter sounds. So far, we have practiced t,b,f,n and m. This class is also doing an amazing job practicing writing their lowercase letters! Great job kids!
We made a graph that shows the different kinds of ice cream or sorbet we like.
