I gave the class popcorn for a special snack and to make a connection to "popcorn words" ( sight words that pop up everywhere). Some popcorn got on the floor and we talked about who cleans our floor each night. Then I asked, "do you think we should leave some popcorn for Dan?". "Yes!" Was their reply. Then two children wrote a thank you note to Dan for cleaning our room. This was his note back to us!!
