Children have been working hard to make alphabet books and counting books so they could share them with the preschoolers. They became authors by writing labels, they became illustrators by drawing pictures that matched their "book idea" and the labels. Finally, they became community helpers by reading their books and being "teachers" to the preschoolers. They all enjoyed reading their books and then the preschoolers shared some of their favorite books off the shelves! It was wonderful!
I took pictures of all the reading partners and glued them onto the owl each child created for our OWL display!
